Life in 35mm (cont.)

I picked up some more developed film today, which featured some shots of recent weekend trips with the guy. Also, I’ve been working with Special Ed Summer school programs throughout the city. It’s been interesting, I must say. Prior to last week, I hadn’t done Pre-K work in quite some time; I forgot how wild those kids can be (I even got bit, and a giant Lego to the groin). This week I returned to the middle school world. Meh.

Oh, and I’m going to see No Doubt next week. Hella Good, yo!

A Diff Bay

Went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which was cool and all, but the huge population of annoying tourists (we were just regular tourists, hehe) with out-of-control children made it difficult to enjoy the beauty of it. I wish people respected the “NO FLASH” rule when shooting photos of animals; I’m sure they’re most-likely already freaked out enough that they’re locked in little boxes. I also wish Monterey had better food, too. But hey, I did see, probably the cutest thing ever: a sleeping Otter. *giddy*

Oh, and today is my Mother’s 53rd birthday. Happy Birthday, Heidi.

:D :D :D

I think I need reconstructive surgery now, to fix my face after smiling so hard. What a day brightener! Thanks Beb.

Summer So Far: Film, Travel, Dude

Dude…I got some film developed:

Peoples,

The spirit of Summer is alive in the city by the Bay. Though it seems hecka foggy 75% of the time, there is that 25% of warm Sun that emerges, pushing us to run wild in the streets, lie in the park watching cotton-clouds swim by through the blue, and drink tall cans wherever the hell we feel. It’s nice feeling this good. I kick-started my Summer in Vegas with the now-boyfriend (wait, whaaaa?) and then went on a quick trip to Southern California to attend adult Summer camp at the Michelsen Compound. I’m still amazed at how much fun and trouble we got into within the small hell-hole that is Covina (it’s very bitter-sweet, you know this). Who wants to skate more pools? I need to learn some tricks!

Anyhoo, I hope you’re all well. Big ups to Matthew for the fresh, new EM look. Let’s get cray-cray in the blogosphere! I want to know what is up!

Xoxo,

Mikeo

P.S. Let this get you pumped:
