    When I was 13 I thought the Spe­cials, Bad Man­ners, et al were so old and cool. I heard Jerry Dammers smoked pot and thought it was so cool.

    I don’t want to be a punk no more. What do you want to be? A skin­head? No, I want to be a rude boy just like my daddy.

    But now that I’m “older” these guys look so young. I still love them.

    Their style is ridicu­lous. Clas­sic. I want to dress like this every­day. I remem­ber hav­ing a Spe­cials cas­sette tape that I dubbed from a cd I got from the Library. So rude.
