Last night on a whim, a group of us took an overnight trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We didn’t have much of a plan, we just wanted to go somewhere and see what we could find. All we knew was that it was Friday, it wasn’t expected to rain, the night’s lows would be somewhere in the 30s, and I didn’t have work until 4 PM the following afternoon.
The trip ended up looking like this…
The night was filled with strong winds. The morning was cold. We got up early because we couldn’t handle lying in the tent any longer freezing our asses off. Jon and Chase were building a fire when I poked my head out of our shelter and saw the beautiful desert landscape (row 3, photo 2). I was in awe. Once everyone got up, we took down our camp and got ready to explore the lands. We hiked and hopped around on the massive boulders, then we ran through the Joshua Trees.
It’s been a long 24 hours and my brain is still a little fuzzy. Ahhh…I need rest.

damn, such suchness
