when the earthquake hit this summer, i felt--and said, which was a mistake--that i knew why the ancients blamed earthquakes on angry gods. Nobody who heard me reacted very much. but doesn&#039;t that make as much sense as seismographs as far as how we can deal with them or predict them? we have the ability now to know when they are coming, but that&#039;s a letter few of us will (want to) read.

does that make any sense? oh well, back to GRE subject test studying. it&#039;s frantic, in answer to your question. absolutely panicked.
