Wel­come to the High­land Park Co-op!
Located at 112 N. Ave 58, Los Ange­les, CA

In col­lab­o­ra­tion with the com­mu­nity of north­east Los Ange­les we aim to cre­ate a space to bring peo­ple together over the impor­tant issue of food. We think a food co-op is a place where peo­ple not only have access to local afford­able healthy food, but also share sto­ries over cof­fee, learn how to grow their own veg­eta­bles, attend monthly com­mu­nity cook­ing classes and sup­pers, and enjoy the sense that direct pro­duc­tive com­mu­ni­ca­tion and cre­ation are pos­si­bil­i­ties. Here in High­land Park we hope to cre­ate this atmos­phere through member-initiated projects and workshops.

The food co-op will start off as a buy­ers co-operative, with future plans of becom­ing a CSA (Com­mu­nity Sup­ported Agri­cul­ture) drop off site, as well as work­ing with local farm­ers to pur­chase eggs, dairy, honey, etc. Even­tu­ally we would like to develop into a small-scale con­sumer owned and oper­ated gro­cery store.
