Summer Begins!

May 31st, 2008 by Matthew

jon.jpgWell, actually I think it begins later in June or something, but I feel it! Lots of updates! Did you know that we got married? Laura and I went to England on our honeymoon and totally chilled out and took it all in. That happened. What else? The Prescott Family forum is still off to a rocky start. Tony is going on tour with Finn Riggins. I’m working on a couple blogs that will blow your mind. In addition to the mind-blowing-ness of our current blogs.

Oh! This would not be complete unless we called out some birthday bois. SO.
Happy Birthday Daniel Charles. Remember last year? Or just this in general? This man is golden. 24 years young! So let’s see. He is a friend, future blogger ;) , brother, brother-IN-LAW, guru, abbott, MC, OG. Happy Birthday my friend.
In other news, guess who was born on the same day. Brandon Swartzel? YES. Happy Birthday little man. If you know these men, and like, use Facebook, click here.
Also, lastly, there is one more birthday shout out. This man is technically part of THAT community, but we see him as one of own. So, Happy Birthday Alex Brown! Not only does this man makes some mean food or cater some rad weddings, he is an all around sweet guy.

So what should we do this summer?

Unalaska

May 13th, 2008 by Matthew

beet.jpgA little while back I got a suggestion for a new blog, a blog about going to Alaska to farm beets. I have not met Katie in the real life yet, but from what I’ve heard she is a pretty cool cat. So, we talked it through and worked out all the details and now it is happening.

I would like to present to you Unalaska, a blog about beet farming in Alaska by Katie Bachler (pictured above).

Meagan notes: Katie + Blog = uncharted, supercontinental poetry and insight. I can’t wait to have a regular peek into the outer reaches of existence. (As you can see in the image above.)

Do you have the guts?

We are doing some pre-celebration celebrating tonight. It’s really going to be epic. Do you remember back in October when Alisha said “the time has come for me to perform some karaoke”? Well, that time has come. Listen to this: “You don’t want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to sing for all your friends, or watch your friends sing for you. Let’s just get together again. And always.”

So here’s the plan. Tonight!, May 2nd, HERE, we (you) will be singing into the wee hours of the morning.
