We welcome Claire to the fold! She comes with her own flock — her friends and collaborators at the University of Washington, where she edits an arts journal and generally spreads her good energy around. I (Alisha) met Claire in Portland, OR last summer in a summer camp for the writerly sort and will therefore take the credit for discovering her. She is tall, friendly, funny and sharp as a tack.
